What program are you using ot make this? If its photoshop, stop now. Import the image you have now to Sketchbook Pro 2011. That program works wonders for Digital-paint and sketching. Various brushes and strokes.

Wish I could help you out, but I've never done a digipaint.
The paintings that I posted on here were just straight brushed,
I've only done the sketch thing with old novice acrylic shit I did when I first started painting.
Anyway, I would imagine that the fundamentals of real painting would apply to digi..
I would guess that once you finish sketching, you would lay down your base colors,
then work on shading, and highlighting with lighter hues of your base, and create definition with darker hues.

I'm not looking for anything really detailed, I just use PS because I'm familiar with it.

Yes. Half-demolished, eroded buildings. Ruins basicly. Maybe some famous building, unless you're going for an extraterrestrial scene.

I would use photoshop for the lineart and such. If you want to start of with colouring, add a warm colour in which you think will be prodominant warm colour in your piece and make a new layer and fill it with that. Put that layer underneath your sketching layer, and set your sketch to multiply. It should give you a better idea on shading and contrast. From there you can add deeper or lighter tones of that warm colour to your sketch.

I assume you've probably seen the majority of tutorials I've posted on here.

I also recommend getting used to using third party programs designed for sketching and colouring after you've gotten the hang of digipainting

Since you've got tips on how to digi-paint. On the actual WIP i'd say try and add from motion in depth, so the robots coming or going away rather than accross. Other than that FUCK YEH RYANS BACK

This isn't the one that I've been working on for so long.
I just got a new concept, liked it better, and put it first in my priority list.
