The shotguns in this game are a fucking joke. Im pretty sure that nobody that helped in programing this game has ever even fired a real fucking gun, let alone can conceptualize that when I blast 3 12-gauge shells into someone from 10 feet away, they should die. Twice. Not turn around and spam their semi-auto sniper all over the place because the suck at the game.

<30 feet is close range idiot. Im not asking for a MW2 HC-Masterkey shotgun here, Im asking for something that when I get 4 hitmarkers on a guy standing less than 20 feet away from me, that I at least see a little bit of damage done in the kill cam.

So the solution is to make them the worst things in the game to use? I get less assists when using a riot shield class and the recon drone than I do trying to kill people with a shotgun. The striker or the USAS should maybe have less range or more spread due to their semi-automatic nature, but when it takes ages for the idiot character to pump a pump shotgun, the shells need to fucking count for something.

Buff the shotguns already. This is fucking stupid. The morons responsible for the atrocious nature of the shotguns needs to be fired, lose their programing degree (ha, if they had one. I could shit on my keyboard and program a better game than these idiots) and have their insides evacuated through their anus using a cake beater.

Am I the only one that realizes this? I could pull 5.0 kd games using the M1014 in CoD4, so its not like Im bad at using them.

Yes in mw3 they really made the shot gun shit. I sprayed a guy with the striker at LEAST under 20 ft and he sprays his fmg9s at me. It makes me want to facepalm that these dual fmg9s can somehow kill faster when i got a first 3 second head start on killing him. Embarrassing

To be fair, the SPAS with damage only mostly sucks. Getting there however is a nightmare. My Kd went from >3 to hovering at like 2.1 because I spent all day powerleveling the spas and PP90M1 and MP7.

Shotguns are very unrealistic, but they aren't that bad if you use them right...

I have gotten 15 or so MOABs with shotguns and one with the P99.

And i have experienced that shotguns are fine, if you use them like you would use a pistol

I use them because the game is so fucking easy and i have to challenge myself to make it just a little fun. I prefer BF3 though i have have mates to play with.
