I'm having horrible hive issues with it and I'm not about to purchase everything again just to play it. Tons of people are having the same issue but go ahead and get it if you want.
You need Arma 2 OA, Arma 2, and six updater.

its actually quite amazing. and if you still dont know what you are doing with Six Updater then you have no clue.

if you wait a bit they are making DayZ standalone, but if you purchase it now through steam (buying arma Combined Ops) then you will have to buy DayZ again when it becomes standalone for a small fee of like what minecraft is now. best military survivor game out.

My game can't connect to the hive to play, in order to fix it I need to buy another CD key which I'm not doin.

No it's a problem with my CD key, I have never actually gotten into a game. I've used Six Updater and Commando Updater or whatever it's called.

you need to run arma II and arma expansion at least once before trying dayz

also download dayz commander, its much better than six

What thrain said, you need to run the original game first, both the main game AND OA, through steam on ADMINISTRATOR MODE (by running steam as admin)

If that doesn't work, contact the admins!

I did, I've gone through everything. Been trying for about a month and the admins wont message me back or respond to my threads. I'm probably just going to buy the standalone.
