Coast Guard, because we need to be protecting ourselves instead of getting into other peoples' buisness.
I'll be joining the military (simply for the purpose of education), which branch should I go into, and give me a reason why.

My cousin is in the US Army, my best friends brother is in National Gaurds, my uncle was in the navy, my bf is in the Marines and my dad was in the Air Force...
While talking to each one about what branch is best, they all pay nearly the same amount of money/month, and basically only diff is do certain things.
Just look it up but imo, marines is more hardcore training and stuff then anything else.
Now, if you want to learn, Air Force is a good branch to learn and stuff.
National Guards does pay most for your college, if you are using the Service to pay for your college and stuff... You also get sent out to places that got hit by major storms, and stuff like that.
Now if you want to learn about alot of things, Air Force is the place.
If you want to go out and fight and see how much punishment you can take: Marines
If you want to just be in the Army and be pretty much a basic soldier, then :US Army
I was aiming for the one where I can do nothing, but play video games while sitting on my skinny arse all-day.

you make the Army sound like crap basic soldiers
And the Coast Guard is a lot more HELPful imo, they dont kill, they save

I imagine the Coast guard just sits around waiting for a report of a disaster

The Airforce. You live on a base and you pretty much live and make money.

This I must consider... I was siding towards navy, the idea of one day having complete control of an aircraft carrier hopefully housing WMDs alongside a ton of fighter jets sounded attractive, and I have an uncle who already has command over like 250,000 people and he's in the navy.
