It is worse to get mad and give them what they want, you don't think these people were doing it to get people mad people a lot like you? Sure play into the game, get mad, yell and whatnot.
Or keep to your promise and "make them stop" run in their with a gun and blow peoples heads off because short of that these people don't care about the general public. They do what they want to do and the emotion they care about seeing from people is anger.
Consider this type of conflict rather lucky compared to what these people could be instead, and rather than hearing a story about somebody making pork infused bullets they decided to unload these onto a crowd of Muslims.
These conflicts don't go away and claiming that they need punishment only serves to make you just as bad as them as you become a breeding ground for more conflict to occur. It is in fact the chain reaction that this can cause that is dangerous not the act itself
