Requirements
There are no requirements to join the News Force, but you should be able to write and understand above average English along with being able to compile well written articles on time. You should also be able to use the frontal cortex of your brain to be able to plan ahead and plan accordingly to get your articles written and turned in on time.

((NEW)) E-Sports News Section

First of all, I want to thank a member of MPGH for suggesting this idea. (as of now I don't have his exact name, but the idea was forwarded to the News FO by @Antipathy). Credits go to the suggester for this idea, but I'm here to ask you of what you guys think of it. If you're not applying, please do me a favor and leave us some suggestions and feedback for this suggestion as it's in beta right now.

A few things I want some feedback on: First of all, if we covered all of E-Sports, the section would probably be bigger than the news itself. What we need to do is narrow down the E-Sports section to a few games/game types, so I'd like some suggestions as to what games we mainly cover. IE; Dota2, League of Legends, Counter Strike, etc. Those are just some ideas, but that's what I mean. We plan to also cover MAJOR tournaments even if it's out of our "game list", but we really need a nice specification as to what games we should cover.

Anyways, thanks again, and please leave your opinions/suggestions/feedback on this.

E-Sport News Section:
I am fully supporting the idea of an E-Sports News Section because E-Sports is rapidly growing and each day a lot of people of all ages are getting interested in seeing their favorite game played on a competitive level. With the rise of major E-Sports title like League Of Legends and Dota2 the crowd, interested in competitive matches has exploded in size and each day of the week livestreams that broadcast events like the LCS get thousand upon thousand of viewers.
I am sure that we have many people on MPGH interested in E-Sports, so an E-Sports section would maybe bring them closer to content that they might have missed because of the shear amount of information/results that is made available each day.

That said, I think that the writers should only cover a few selected matches and tournaments for each edition of the MPGH News.
In addition the News Team could create an extra thread (Linked in the main news article) with all major tournament/match results.

If this section is added to the MPGH News I would really like to join the News Team to work on this specific topic.

I would be a good addition to the News Team (specifically the E-Sports position), because I am highly interested in E-Sports, but not only from a standard observer point of view but from a more intricate standpoint, whether to gather information about strategies, team synergies or just upcoming matches for tournaments, I do all that with a passion that started around 2006 with watching CoD4 and CS 1.6 Pro fragmovies recorded for specific teams, players or live events that happened at that time.
I am also a regular guest at European live events like DreamHack and IEM Hannover/Cologne.
