Show me your knives

​Coming from someone who's handled weapons and knives since they were 3, he is.

While you're here, how do I sharpen a blade with a sharpening stone? Stone is the shape of a rectangular prism. I put the blade at like a 5 degree angle and scrape it back and forth, then do the same for the other side...doesn't seem to be turning razor sharp.

Make sure you go with the grind. Try not to create a sub-grind. Look it up on YouTube. CutleryLover (Jeff) is a great channel to start.

You're sitting here telling my shit is fake, and expect me to believe you're some supreme knowledge on knives.
The 3 knives second from the right have a combined value of over $500.
I also find it peculiar that you need exorbitant amounts of time to get a picture together.

It's useful to have a piece of paper handy to test it. I'd suggest going for a bit higher angle though, as a really tight angle won't hold an edge as long.

How bout a 47 inch sword? I might just buy a sword off my cousin. But it seems hard to sharpen because of its length. While we're talking about knives, how about a axe? is it sharpened the same way?

It would really be useful to have a grinder for a blade of that length, though I don't really have much experience with long-blades.

So I've been dragging the blade across a flatish stone, still can't seem to slash through paper.

Update: Just did another 30 drags on both sides of the blade...having difficulties cutting through an eraser.

It's a stone my parents used to sharpen knives for years. So yeah it's a wet stone
