Fairy Tail

So, during our lunch period in school I have been forced to sit with some of my colleagues who are, how do I put this, anime nerds.(no offense to anyone.)

During my time(nearing 3/4 of a school year now) I have noticed that 99% of their conversations are about this anime/manga called Fairy Tail.

What is your opinion on it?

I watched every episode of it. Not because of the plot, or characters, or anything like that. In that aspect it ranks horribly low. I just found it entertaining. Some of the fights were pretty good though. Also, after watching your video thank god, I saw it subbed. That dub voice over is atrocious.

Don't compare the beautiful Kill la Kill that saved anime to the lowly Naruto. It's a disgrace.

The "plot" in Fairy Tail is fairly simple. The guild is in trouble, they fight and they win. It's boring as hell so the creator decided to oversexualize every single girl... and it's supposedly a shounen anime.

How can it have the huge amount of fans it has since its not even that good?
Fairy tail actually started nice, promising an interestin story but as soon as it advanced, the farther away it was from the original story...

Fairy Tail is a disappointment more than anything.

The author made rave-master, which was a pretty good series in its own right. However Fairy Tail is a series that is extremely overrated, more so than naruto by a loooooong shot.


Fairy Tail basically takes one piece's "nakama power", uses magic instead, and has absolutely no adventure. It's only popular because fanservice, kids, and laziness.

Fanservice: It's hard to say this show didn't gain at least half of it's fans from the HUGE amount of fanservice it presented at the start and throughout the series, not , with every female having a Z-rack and the only ones without it are the shows loli's.

Kids: Of course the intended audience of this show is probably 8-12 year olds. Generic magic with a generic system. Its slightly different, but after the billionth time they repeat "fire dragons punch" or w/e, you start to notice that the series basically has the imagination of a rather

Laziness: This is the one thing that kind of annoyed me on a personal level. All of Fairy Tail repeats this one formula: Guild is attacked, retaliation. That's it. That's all of FT's story. Repeat for every arc over and over. NO deviation whatsoever from the start to now, every. single. time.
