I think after all this time you still haven't got a concept what capitalism really is, and is just grasping at straws just to argue or to troll.
The world has had women presidents/PMs, and very close to a woman candidate in the USA, multiple times IIRC. Enough said.
Everything in life is all dependent on how hard you're willing to work, boo hoo, old republican conservatives don't think of you equal in the work force, no one said you had to work for them. I'm done with this crap.
"You sound like some 20 yr old that just failed her econ 101 test. LOL."

Alas I disagree and starting with the premise of, "the world has had women Presidents/PM's", is faulty grounds to say that injustice and inequality doesn't exist; its like saying racism is over because the US has a black president. Also your claim that, "everything in life is all dependent on how hard you're willing to work", doesn't change the fact that some people ARE privileged over others in this country and many times certain underprivileged groups have to work HARDER for equal outcomes. This has been the historical case for women and minorities since the inception of this country.
Simply put, capitalism depends on inequality to maximize profits, that really cannot be debated seeing as there are so many examples. One could be the fact that women make about 77 cents to the male dollar, 22 cents doesn't seem much, but to the proponents of capitalism here(and non dumb asses) that is a huge disproportion which benefits the patriarchy. Now I don't think capitalism is systematically targeting women for profitable gain, I think its targeting everyone and everything for profitable gain.
When dealing with inequality removing capitalism won't eradicate the problem, so if the op thinks that I disagree. Way more complex then that

the fuck is this thread about. A retarded topic, posted in a retarded place, for mostly retarded people.
My point was, inequality will always exist. This isn't directed at anyone, just explaining my point of view. Men are physically and mentally different and better suited for working, IMO. I don't think equality can exist outside of a Utopian society, simply put. They say all men are created equal, not grow up equal, it's mostly true, but of course not 100% true. I'm not going to pay a disabled, wheelchair bounded guy to lift and stack boxes the same amount as a woman who can do it, assuming it affects performance.
The point of working harder comes from my own personal experience. I don't want to give up 2080 hours of my life each year, for a shitty $80,000 paycheck, coming home feeling like my soul got sucked out of me each day. So I go home, work harder than everyone else, giving up leisure time so I can succeed and not have to go to a soul crushing job. I haven't watched a movie in like 6 months.
So maybe some guy had it easy, rich family, and he never has to work a day. I don't find it unequal. Say almost everyone hiring wants healthy christian white males, but no one ever said you're given equal opportunities. Find a place that does, or start your own fair practice business. Eventually it will come down how can you squeeze out as much money for yourself and/or shareholders. Pay the people (probably women) who can't be as productive less money. You have it hard? What about the guy in Vietnam who survives on $3 a day, immigrates to the US, and manages to start his own business. Was he given more opportunities than you?
I don't find that a symptom of capitalism, I find it a symptom of bias. In a perfect world of capitalism, say I can produce 5 hrs of productivity, and I get paid a dollar. A woman can produce 9 hrs of productivity and gets paid .77 cents. Well, she's open to take her skills and talent and find someone who will pay her proportionally more, because if she does that, her current employer risks losing 9 hrs of productivity at a cheaper price. If that's the case, why not just hire a bunch of women and fire all the men if it was simply that women and men are equally productive, but women are cheaper? Note, she has many different options (anti-monopoly and anti-collusion), once again in a perfect world of capitalism.Simply put, capitalism depends on inequality to maximize profits, that really cannot be debated seeing as there are so many examples. One could be the fact that women make about 77 cents to the male dollar, 22 cents doesn't seem much, but to the proponents of capitalism here(and non dumb asses) that is a huge disproportion which benefits the patriarchy. I'm not against socialism, but I don't think a business should be forced to lose money to make a perfect Utopian equality mindset. Like I said, characteristics of the worker don't really matter, its just the end result (productivity). If people are opposed to a business not paying equally, they can go pay the company that offers equal pay to all their workers, and put the other discriminating out of business. That's the "invisible hand" at work.
I'm not a soulless capitalist despite my posts, I like the survival mentality of capitalism much like Darwinism, the fittest businesses survive. I believe that everyone should be able to survive on a livable wage, but then I see examples of uneducated people wasting money and then complaining about being poor so I often get mixed feelings that these people aren't fit to survive in this kind of world and humans advance forward because they probably get eliminated out of the gene pool.
It's whatever. I just find it silly that Atticusa is trolling about women equalizing/dominating men in a society created by mostly men.

You are an evil capitalist pig. You have proved that today
Like I've said 3 times in this thread, people here including the op are confusing equality with equity. The aim of women's rights should be equity because being equal to men is impossible, we were just made different. Doesn't mean anyone else is superior, but males(and nature somewhat) has set up the system in a way that males benefit more monetarily.

Well I guess I see herr point now, she said it before but she didn't really get her point across as clearly. I suppose we could have a system founded from socialism-like origins where it's not about what you contribute but more humanistic support, but also at the end of the day you guys are kinda looking at Capitalism as a man made creation, but I view it as a more natural evolutionary component of nature. I suppose it'd be possible, but shit would have to be way different and probably less greedy human nature.
