I know both are right based on if you speak British English or American English, but these are the struggles of life!
Also i saw this statement and i just wanted to know how many people spell it one way or the other.

Yeah, that's right! I spell color without the "u". Deal with it. The word looks better without the "u" and it is more efficient to spell a word with 1 less letter.

We were taught by using "colour".
