Quantum Computers and the possibility

So what do you think of the likelihood of Quantum Computers existing by 2020-30? Will we have the source needed to achieve the possibility? Apparently they have already created a very basic calculating Quantum comp but the actually one is still not a possibility. YET. Do you think it will cause a problem to humanity?

I do not believe it is possible in such a near future, however it would be remarkable especially given the fact that it the field was initiated such an early time ago.

Well I read a article online saying the number of microprocessor we have double every 18 months so by 2030 (max) we should be on atom scale, atom is what we need to start creating Quantum Computers, so the logical step is to start working towards that. I agree that they will start WORKING but still in the next 50 years I HOPE to see results.

i dont see how its much more challenging to science than our computers.

both are sub nano scale at this point - making physics calculate things for us would mean unimaginable computing powers
