I've already seen many videos on this elsewhere many years ago. I'm not going to get into the specifics of this, But Ted Bundy's correlation from violent porn to violent acts was made in the fucking 1980s. I'm not the best person for this specific argument, I should call my Professor to come post this for me but I'll go ahead and try my best. This correlation between Rape Porn and Rape is the same thing as playing GTA and going out and fucking a whore then killing her for her money and stealing a car on the side of the road. I honestly can't off the top of my head go and break this down for you like I can other things but there has never been any credible studies showing Violent Games correlating with Violent acts. From what I can vaguely recall, Video game violence isn't even seen as "real" violence to most people who play games often (according to their brain). They are associating shooting someone in the head with achieving a Headshot achievement. The act of violence is no longer "violent" it doesn't give off the same reactions as physical violence like when you see someone being beat to death in a steel cage.


Now perhaps with this bit of information you can rebuttle it into saying Rape Porn dulls the viewers understanding of what is right / wrong thus he goes out and acts on his fantasies. However, this never 'sticks' because there is so many other fundamental components that play into this situation such as the persons living conditions, how they were raised, what do they actually do with their life. Not everyone from the day they are born starts watching porn in their room never leaving, nearly all people have somekind of outside interaction with society. So they inherently have this "thing" that counteracts the acting on ones will, IE watch porn then go rape / watch porn then go get a girl (relationship). However you want to say or define this is up to you as I haven't came across solid definition for it. The Social norm so to say, the understanding that you "shouldnt" rape. Now that understanding doesn't go away because of subjection to anything it's always there even if you're a mass murderer (most) still understand it was wrong, they just don't care. Not to say there aren't people who literally don't have that social understanding, but in general mostly everyone does. Which is why every Game/Movie/Porn study trying to show Fictional Violence correlating with Non Fictional Violence has never held especially not that Ted Bundy one from the 80s.
