Will rank hack got banned?

My friend got banned last week,he use the Aimbot.I use the hack too,but I only use the rank and unlock weapon mod hacks.
Yesterday while I was playing.A man knew that I was use the rank hack to reached the highest level.He said he would report me to the Valve that I am cheat.If he truely report,then the valve check my profile.Will my account got banned?
I heard that they won't ban the rank hacker,is that true?If it is,why?
I am so worried about I may got banned...

I don't think so..
I read on the forums of Infinity Ward that they don't give bans on rank hacks because the level give you nothing.
They ban only wallhackers, aimboters and so on.

No they wont ban you If you rank up. But they will ban you if you are using Wallhacks Aimbots Charms ETC. Also keep in account if you rank up to 10th prestige you might have a 95.5% chance you will get banned.

I used the EA to get to lvl 10 prest lvl 70 like when it first came out after release.. Havent been banned yet and its been over a month

Steam checks your profile and if they see that you made 10th prestige in 10 minutes they warms you once and reset your account(on original only)...If you again do that they ban you.
That's all and it's true.

Um to get unbanned you gotta BUY A NEW GAME. Then you gotta make a new email.

And rank hack won't get you banned because it doesn't enhance your gameplay. Only chams, wallhacks and aimbots will get you banned.
