[HELP] Can anyone tell me how to cross mod? (i think its cross modding?)

well, today i picked up an r870 MCS and thought "well, damn this shotgun is so cool" and i always see people releasing weapon crossing mods, but never for shotguns, and i personally dont rly wanna request someone to do it for me, cuz i wanna learn so i can do it with the guns i want =/

SOOOO if anyone could pm me on how to cross mod or how to turn an r870 into an r870 mcs (skin and movements and stuff) i would appreciate it quite a lot

crossmoding is just like switch models of the same class.


for example, lets make the l96a1 to an g36e (i've done it, it works)


1. rez extract GUNS_M_PV_SR.rez and GUNS_M_PV_AR

2. search g36e in the ar folder and l9 in the sr folder

3. rename all the g36e to l9, matching the names to those in the search of SR folder.

4. open rez inject and select the SR.rez, add all the renamed g36e ltbs (now l9 ltbs), double check the names of the 'Not Found's for typos, then re add if any are found. and remove the 'Not Found's that weren't typos.

5. inject, go in game and pwn.



hope i helped. and remember not all guns will work, and some crossmods are simply impossible. like melee-grenade or some junk.

but then some nx guns have 4 of cm_...m134 or similar files named then wat should 1 do when he wants to rename it to pvmla_m9 how does he know which cm_...m134 to rename to pvmla_m9 or pvmla_w_m9?

if it's cm...m134 then you gotta have cm...m9 if it doesn't then you can skip that file
