Is the Iphone worth getting?

Ive been trying to decide out wheter or not I should buy the Iphone so I'll ask you.

Should you spend a shit load of money and get It?

Just an ipod that can make phone calls... easier to have a laptop with blue tooth headset and use skype instead.... i mean 900 bucks for a phone that is sure to get scratched the hell out of and get a shit load of greasy fingerprints everywhere...

and they have locked it to one phone network, so they will charge loads for phone calls, whereas skype is very cheap...
i know you can hack i phones but they are sumtimes pernamently un-useable if you do...

I have 3 iPhones. They are ok. I am rich so i don't care i can just switch iPhones when one is out of power/
