Trainers not working?

Hey guys!

So I got back into MW2, and was wanting my level to be high... I downloaded a trainer, and tried to change my level, prestige etc. but nothing worked! I tried doing it in-game and in the barracks. I have also tried to use different trainers but NONE of them work! If someone could help me with this issue that would be awesome!

MW2 had an update, I already made an updated version.
