How do I undo MW2 patches

I was really bummed when the current patch nerfed the 1887s. Is there any way to undo a patch or reinstall without updating to current patch? I have tried reinstalling MW2 and making sure that the game was set to not automatically update, but it didnt help the game still updates on its own.

I say just keep the update.

anyone have any ideas...I guess a similar question would be how to I keep the game from not updating on its own? FYI: I checked the option to never automatically update game, but it still updates.
