Is 144 Hz monitor worth it?

I got this stupid question, is it worth it to have a monitor with 144 Hz? I've been stuck with 60 Hz monitors for awhile now and the current monitor makes me so upset, because everytime I wanna play Shadow of Mordor I gotta reset my monitor screen resolution to 1280x720 and play it like that boardless because this shit box can't go up to 1080p...

Because every time I go to full screen it sets itself to 1280x1024 resolution.

I get about 100 to 200 FPS with any game pretty much (I only need to buy some extra memory + new GPU).. But yeah, I get more FPS than my monitor can actually take.

If you get mroe fps than you monitor can handle, you definitely need a new monitor. It will be worth it.

I always buy upgrades and stuff, like this month, I bought myself a expensive controller which cost me up to 76 Euros (original price is 65.99 Euros or something), next month I'm going to get the wireless adapter for my controller + some 8GB ram so I can get 12 and then month after that another 8GB + an SSD..
