I used to like anime but not anymore, however when I did like them here were some of my favorite.

1.) Samurai Deeper Kyo
2.) Hellsing
3.) Parasyte the maxim

No favorite third. Anime is pretty weak. If we open this to LN or manga, then it'll be different.

Omg dude it's so awesome you mentioned that, I too only liked the first part of death note. The show was fucking brilliant up until Light became Kira again and killed L, it should have ended after that.

>boring plot. generic as well.
>no character development, dedicates episodes to character background and then kills them.
>main character is not even the person in the name of the show, gets only one highlight at last episode.
>shitty harem.
>if you want romance between a loli and a guy, may as well watch fucking toradora.

Well, the deaths all have meaning behind every single one of them, the character development is beyond good, tatsumi goes from being seemingly helpless and weaker than the rest to the "strongest" in the entire anime. The name is kinda weird, but that is not huge thing. The harem is good, esdeath and leone were both great
