    Gaming pc suggestions

    Need them from amazon.co.uk

I'm thinking about getting an intel i5 with a gtx970, do you guys think it'll be sufficient to run games like arma 3 on highest settings?

It's what frankieonpc used in his modern set up video and he ran it max fps ultra.

Anything you would want to suggest is welcome.

This is the one I want to buy:

True, doesn't have an SSD indeed, but they're pricey enough without one to be honest.

Why do you not put your own build together, you would be saving money and getting everything you want in the PC

Yeah i agree with you and even if he can't build it himself the money he saved can be put towards getting someone to build it for him, and it's more enjoyable in my opinion.

    @Eternity

Building it myself would leave me with a price range of approx the same according to frankieonpc, lol.

In my experience you can make computers for much cheaper than pre-built ones, and you get to pick the parts you want yourself.

as been said before; you're better off building it yourself. not only will you be getting more experience, you can put exactly what you want into your own computer, personalized for yourself.

Frankieonpc is a great source, but remember there are also many sales that go on (Newegg, Amazon etc) and there is a 99.9% chance that you will save a substantial amount of money building it yourself.

why would you buy a pre-build.

    pre-builds pro and con:

pros: comes pre built. sometimes nice case.
    cons:
can contain spyware built in from companies selling pre built
usually overpriced for the shitty parts it comes in.
    usually low-performance.

although this one isn't bad, it's not great either. you could buy parts for a pre-build with that same amount of cash and probably make a fuckin monster.

Build your own, I've saved around hundreds making my own then buying a custom made one. People sell their custom made computer for more than what they paid. And they usually get it cheaper then the original price. With that amount of money you could probably get the i7 with gtx 980 with ssd and other tons of better stuff.

As everyone told you - Fuck prebuild @Snake

Big question from me - what resolution you want to play on Arma 3 with max settings
If you answer with big number on my question, GTX970 will not help you and you will need 980 and up for the job.
Don't search for i7 , there are many i5 better than some i7 now
