I'm a first time builder for PC

I do not know how to build a computer and I need some assistance.
I'm just asking questions and my budget is below $1200

I can look up how to build a pc but some of these websites do not show me what parts I need. They just "put it" on there
So here's some of my questions.

Question 1: What are the parts I need? By parts I mean CPU, Case, Graphic Cards, etc... (Please list them down one by one.)
Question 2: Where can I get these parts for a good price. Maybe free shipping in US and/or low price but in mint condition.

Last but not least, thank you for looking at this page and doing some research for me and also making my life a bit more easier

Edit 1/19/16: For question 1. I'm building it for gaming so I would like to have a high resolution.
    And also

Question 3: I don't know how the parts work. Is fan better or liquid cooling?
Question 4: When and if I build the pc with the parts you guys recommend. How do I set Windows up? Do I have to buy the software or is there some place I can get it for free?
Question 5: What are some good monitors?

Question 1: What are the parts I need? By parts I mean CPU, Case, Graphic Cards, etc... (Please list them down one by one.)
A 1: Parts needed for a PC are: CPU, CPU Cooler, Motherboard, Ram/Memory, Storage, Graphic Card, Case, Power Supply, OS, Also for gaming you just need a good Video Card, for high-end gaming i would recommend GeForce 970/980/980Ti or 780Ti

Question 2: Where can I get these parts for a good price. Maybe free shipping in US and/or low price but in mint condition.
A 2: Cheapest parts are in Newegg or SuperBizz (If you are out of US/Canada just order from Amazon)

Question 3: I don't know how the parts work. Is fan better or liquid cooling
A 3: Liquid is way better than fan cooling, but don't get Liquid cooling if you are not going to OC, because stock cooler is good (Stock cooler is the small fan that comes with the CPU from Intel/AMD), Master Cooler EVO 212 is very good and cheap btw.

Question 4: When and if I build the pc with the parts you guys recommend. How do I set Windows up? Do I have to buy the software or is there some place I can get it for free?
A 4:You have to buy Windows and install it via Optical drive or USB.

Question 5: What are some good monitors?
A 5:Not really good with Monitors, Sorry.

EDIT: I made this build for you, right around your budget. (Note that you can upgrade the Graphic Card anytime you want)
Check this playlist by TechSource, he has many good builds that you can edit some part and upgrade them: Gaming PC Builds

Not exactly, you can download it from torrent site lol, put it on USB and there are plenty youtube videos how to make the setup
Paying for OS is like ... I don't have soft word for it, but if you have the budget is nice to do

Other than that @xBofahad told you everything

Yeah I think I've known some people to download Windows online and inserted inside a usb.

AMD Build is a build that uses an AMD CPU, there two type's of CPU (Processor) Intel and AMD, AMD is cheaper but Intel is a bit more expensive (Around 280-315$) but solid.

Also OC means Overlock (Overclocking is the action of increasing a component's clock rate, running it at a higher speed than it was designed to run. This is usually applies to the CPU or GPU (GPU is the Graphics Card) this is from google BTW.

I made this build for you, cost around 1.3K$ (Pretty solid build, also you have to pay a little more if you wanna play at 1080p), You don't have to get the Corsair H100i GTX cooler (it's a Liquid cooler so take it if you are gonna OC) and save some money and use the Stock cooler.

Also like said b4, You can upgrade the GPU anytime you want.

xBofahad pretty much cover everything but i would like you to be more specific so we are able to help out as much as possible.

What games are you intending to be play and at what resolution (high, ultra). How long do you usually play and do you switch off your PC when you sleep (or torrent 24/7) because the differences in heat dissipated from your PC determines your choice of chassis (PC casing).

And even though AMD Chipset is slightly cheaper than Intel, the gaming performance are somewhat argumentatively better at times.

That's a brilliant build bud. I might give that one a go myself.

There are some videos from newegg (I think) that show you how to build it. I used those vids to make mine just to be sure I was doing it right. Don't be scared cause its pretty much advanced legos lol.
