I think another player "banned" me for hacking

The backstory of it is that two players were hacking on the opposite team so I used the hack that I had access to in order to combat the hackers. I did have a name hack but I started having fun and pissed off the wrong person, apparently. Right before I got disconnected (presumably kicked) from the game, he said "You're out". I wasn't too worried because I had been kicked before, but after this kick, it's been significantly harder to find matches.

I used another account to see if maybe my internet connection was at fault or maybe there weren't many people online but I find games instantaneously on that account. I'm sure something happened but I'm not sure what exactly. Are there hacks that allow a person to do something along the lines of what seems to have been done to me? Maybe there's only 1 main TDM server and the admin banned me? Although, it happens in domination and any other decently populated game modes as well.

Finally, I verified to see if I may have been VAC banned, even though you can still play with a VAC ban, and that doesn't seem to be the issue either.

Does anyone know how I could go about "restoring" my account. Also, is this a common thing to happen when hacking? I'm using the steam version of the game. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

He probably was the host and used MW2SA to ban you from "his" lobby.

So are there very few TDM servers now? I still feel like I had a selection of at least a few different servers that I didn't have to wait for in order to join before the "ban". I have to wait close to 10 minutes for a TDM game and I always have a terrible connection. Also, my NAT type has always been open throughout this ordeal.

Since the matchmaking is stats based you find less and less games if your stats 2 gud 4 lard gaben.

 

1. Right click MW2 in your Steam library > Properties > Update tab > Untick Cloud Sync.

2. Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players (if you are on a 32bit OS, there is no '(x86)' in the Program Files folder)

3. Delete every single .stat file you see.

4. Then navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata
There may be one or more folders here that consist of random numbers.
I recommend using the search feature in Windows explorer. You are looking for a folder called 10190.

5. After you have found the '10190' folder, enter it and go into the 'remote' folder.

6. Delete everything inside the 'remote' folder.

7. Open MW2 Multiplayer to see your new rank.

8. Play and rank up to Level 5 and then close the game.

9. Re-enable Steam Cloud Sync as shown in Step 1.

That probably makes the most sense. I got VAC banned recently anyways so now I just play legit on my main account to avoid insane stats. Thanks for the reply.
