codmw2 texture mods

hey been using the texture hack which involves the blue/red players and less foliage. helped me so much.

however since the last update of cod mw2, i keep getting the error 'main/iw_00.iwd is different from the server' which obviously means the texture's cant be changed.

so i'd love it if someone made a way around this.

Dude, I got the same message. I got it to work but all of hacks were gone. You can do it but your hacks will be gone. First, Open up steam......Go to "My Games". Then right click on the icon that says "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Multiplayer." Click on "Properties".
There should be 4 tabs at the top. Click on the one that says, "Local Files". Then click on "Verify integrity of game cache" It should start a download that will make MW2 work again. But your hacks will be gone. Your profile hack will be there. Remember: Thank me if I helped.

You can use all the old texture hacks, just put the players_blahblah.iwd into your folder as iw_xx.iwd but you cannot host. I do this, just block the host port and enjoy? But if you host every player gets kicked.
