Did you bank the money? I've a bit under 400 mil between two account thanks to Lunatic's excellent service. Lunatic suggests not banking it, though some say banking money is irrelevant. One acct is on its last strike, and is unaffected, the mod acct is safe too, despite doing everything mod wise not too long ago (it can take some weeks for a ban to work through).

I think it doesn't matter at all. I've banked over 300mil under 2-4 years ( can't remember when gta were released) and I've only been banned twice, first on xbox when they banned everyone above 100mil within the first 2 weeks of online, 2ban was when scripthook got detected. So I doubt not banking money is ''safer''.
