    Graphic Card upgrade

    Hello,

So I have been having a little discussion with my uncle and I am going to buy a new graphic card from him with monthly fee.
And I was wondering here is the graphic card he is going to be getting me better than my current one, or is it worse?

The current GPU is: AMD Radeon 7850 something - 2GB Vram.
The new GPU is: nVidia Geforce GTX 750TI - 4GB vram.

The question is critical and needs to be answered a.s.a.p, due I want to know if this video will be able to give me what I am searching for?

I want to play games on high/ultra settings on 720p / 1080p (once I've required myself a monitor which able to run up to 1080p) in 60 or more FPS?

My current GPU is able enough to stably run ultra settings on Batman Arkham Origins and Tomb Raider (2013) - tomb raider is able to run with the hair style too but it lags, gets me under 60fps, but with ultra its above 100FPS. Also, what I am wondering is that graphic card (the one I am going to get) is able to run ultra or something on Rise of the Tomb Raider too?

Thank you for your answers and help.. I would get greater than 750TI but cost of that would also be greater.

    Edit:
    My current setup (simple):
    CPU: Intel i7-3770
    RAM: 8GB
    HDD: 1TB
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB.

They're literally the same card, it's a waste of money, if anything your 7850 wiill likely be more powerful, if even by only 1%.

The cards really are neck-and-neck in performance, you won't notice any difference at all, maybe 1-2 frames if you're lucky.

    A'right.

I went to amazon, and I was searching for AMD (Just inserting AMD) and I could get AMD R7 370 for less price than GTX 750TI which costs 185 Euros but the AMD is 171 Euros on Amazon DE.

    LOL...

GTX970 2GB is basically same as 750TI 2GB.. You sir are retarded. Only difference there lies is 10% or whatever frames, that's about it.

You won't notice any difference at all between thsoe two cards.

Also, a 970 is about TWICE as fast as a 750ti.

I'm not quite sure where you're getting these comparisons but you'll achieve 2x the FPS using a 970.

a 750ti is nothing more than a BUDGET card these days, it's about $100 isn't it?

Personally, I run a GTX 980, which isn't too much better than the 970 but the 980 would destroy the 750ti three times over.

I just watched that retarded video. Top kek..

And the price given by my uncle is 185 euros (like I said on my edited reply to you), its probably that pricey due shipping or something.

So, I'm wondering how good is MSI AMD R7 370 Gaming?

Well, they're literally the same card with different names.

You'll notice improvement with the 370, I'd personally go for a GTX 960 - but the 370 is a little cheaper if your budget is strict.

Well, I told my uncle that I need some extra time to do some research, so I do it right now via you and informative youtube videos.

    Asus Geforce GTX950 2GB
    is better than the

    MSI R7 370 2GB / 4GB
    this one.

There's no much price between the two when it comes to 2GB's.
    Both are like 159.99$ lool..

I'm literally thinking whichever to buy, I'd be proud to have nVidia once in awhile.

Yes, the GTX 950 is better than the R7 370 - Not by much, but it's better, if you can save up or convince your uncle to get a 960 instead, I'd much rather go with that - Otherwise come 1year down the line you're going to need to ugprade again.

Correct, but I wanna save up for someones visit, and if I pay for 3-4 months for GTX 950 then I'm golden, I can always upgrade after my trip.

Besides, currently my budged is 200 euros, so i couldn't go higher than that. Plus future upgrades will be 16GB of ram, then I'll see what I will do.

Most games barely use 8,but I guess the 950 will always sell for half its value or so when you want to upgrade.

Considering you have a pretty high end CPU upgrading your GPU to anything below GTX970 is pointless. The performance you get from upgrading your 7850 into 750Ti, 950 or even 960 is not worth the 200$. You would be literally paying 200 bucks for 10-20% upgrade which is by no means worth it.

    7850 vs 960 benchmarks: https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1589?vs=1596
    7850 vs 970 benchmarks: https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1589?vs=1595
Is 960 better than 7850? Yes and by a pretty big margin. But is it worth spending 200$ for the extra performance? No it isn't. If you want a balanced system you save money for that sweet 970 your build is hungry off. You just look at those game performances, 970 is over 2 times powerful than 7850 in EVERY single game.

Your system is already bottlenecked for gaming use. Just don't spend that money on a silly GPU upgrade, even if it's not your own money. It's just outright stupid to put a low end/budget card into a system with i7.

    EDIT: R370 vs 7850 benchmarks https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1590?vs=1589
As you can see that is like 5-10% performance upgrade which makes the R370 like the most retarded thing to upgrade.
    7850 vs 750Ti https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1076?vs=1130
750Ti is also somewhere in lines of 5-10% upgrade.
I hope you got the point from those benchmarks, you would be literally paying 200$ for almost nothing.

Fine.. I'll get 970 since you so insist me to have it and yet to fail to understand that monthly fee 60 euros for 6 months is like me loosing traveling to my girlfriend, but fine, I'll talk to my uncle.....

Edit: Well, as it appears to be, my new GPU which isn't 970, but its still costs more than 200 Euros, its 295 euros.

VGA Geforce GTX960 4GB MSI Gaming 4G LE - @CJacko is this good enough?

Also, not to mention I will be upgrading my memory from 8GB to 16GB once the new GPU is paid off.
