How Many Reports Before OW?

I have heard that you can get 9, 7, 4, 5, and 11 reports before you are put on Overwatch.

So what is the actual number of reports before you go on OW?

Also, do your reports reset after every day? Or do they add up?

According to cheat communities, you get placed into an OverWatch session if you have more than or equal to 6 reports.
This is not proven, and is highly likely untrue.

Valve states that "You are reviewed by an OW investigator if your recent amount of reports have suddenly increased in huge numbers or if you have reports built over a long period of time".

We cannot see how valve works there OW, so no one really knows if that statement was just to put us off and make us worried or is actually true.
