Switching to 7, Will it afect Combat arms?

Ive been running xp for a LONG time and i have used vista once on my pc before and it was horrible for gaming, since i dont spend my money on computers, i spend it on food...=) and all my games - NFS prostreet COD4 COMBAT ARMS ran so SLOW and horrible frame rates.....

    my good old dinosaur....
    3gb of ram
    Ati Radeon hd 4770
Pentuim4HT( hyper threaded) G2(C) running at 3.25 ghz
    160 sata hard drive
    a slave 80 gig drive.......

Do you think 7 will run worse?
Cause all the good "Stuff" (If you know what i mean) doesnt work for xp.....

    Please give me your thoughts......

sorry typed this on my iphone didnt have time to spell check.....

Windows 7 requires less ram than Vista and XP as well as being faster and more efficient.

    Sorry buddie your wrong!!

Yet again i have to preach!!

many vendors who sell high-end machines put the OS on an SSD. This is a mistake. Be aware that Program Files and the Users folder always resides on the OS drive and the OS drive cannot be changed except during OS installation. As a developer, I currently have about 280 programs installed, taking up 25.4GB space (could be more if I put on Roxio) - some are large, coming on DVDs, and some are medium-sized, coming on 2 cd's, and many are just small programs. Your best machine configuration is to have a 1TB or larger drive. Windows 7 takes 20GB plus another 20GB just for updates. then there's your data, which often takes up a whole lot more, and people generally don't stray from My Documents which is on the OS drive. Avoid the SSD-as-OS-drive configuration; it's not wise

Well, I was sick of XP running slow on my PC
So i dual booted (stupid decision because i dont use my xp anymore)

    Windows 7 is awesome.
Dont put all your files on the same partition tho, Have 3 partitions for all your stuff. Runs better

Just make sure you update your drivers to support Win7, there shouldn't be any incompatibility or negativity with Combat Arms afterward.
