CS:GO massive drop when recording

So I was trying to record a bit of csgo footage, but, when I record(I tried all types of recording software btw) My fps keeps dropping from 100 to 30fps(I only get 100 because my pc is pretty potato) all help is appreciated.

Yeah you're not gonna be able to record any good footage with a pc that can only get 100 fps max even without recording. If your using Fraps use the same hard drive/SSD to store recordings as the game you're playing.

What's your recording hotkey. I remember I had that problem. If it's F12 or F11. Change it to F1-F4 or something.

I use F5 for toggle record
F4 for pause recording

Use shadowplay shadow mode to save the last 20min of gameplay

Shadowplay does not decrese perfomance at all, use that

Yeah unfortunately you are pretty limited in options due to your computer specs being sub-optimal. I would recommend either upgrading your pc, or using something like shadowplay <- really neat tool, I used it whenever I needed to record anything when I didn't have my desktop.
