Returning a Laptop to a store I didn't purchase it at

So, I got a laptop on amazon and had someone here refund it. Now, I'm kinda regretting my purchase and would like a Surface Pro 3 (or 4 if i can afford it).

Do you know any brick and mortar stores that have a chill return policy? Even for store credit, so I can get a surface at?

I would go in with my laptop (Asus UX305CA) and say I don't have a receipt and I paid cash, can I get store credit to buy a different laptop? Or do all stores these days require receipt (to know the purchase date). That means I have to find a store that carries the same model laptop. But do you guys know any stores with really good customer service?

Probably somewhere like bestbuy or walmart will do it. Just make sure you keep straight face and act like chill. Also make sure not to act nervous. If they ask questions about receipt just say I chucked it out when I purchased the laptop etc etc. Just keep rambling on. If bestbuy fails try walmart then try other places. Hope this helps

You can do it at any big stores like bestbuy, target, walmart etc etc. Just claim that you lost the receipt.

But its not available to be picked up in stores, just online. So pretty much out of luck?

Have you tried Electronic Fry's? They sell the same laptop over there in-store.

Their return policy states that you need the original receipt to do an exchange but I don't know if you can use the "I threw away the receipt" excuse to get store credit. It's worth a shot imo.

Walmart is the best place to do it.
