PS4- Monitor or TV?

Soooooo, i currently have a 32 inch TV that i use to play with my PS4. Problem is, i have to sit on my bed to play and a distance because of the way my room is set up. I was thinking to buy a monitor so i can set it up in my desk and sit at a close distance just like a PC. I play FPS games like CoD, Battlefield 4 and Fallout 4,if that helps. What do you guys recommend? Should i buy one or not and if yes, how big?

If you buy a moniter make sure you have a way to listen to the game, as most moniters don't have built in speakers.

I play my PS4 on TV and xbox one on monitor, and for fps games monitor is a lot better. I just can't react and see things that clearly on TV as I'm further away. Only play single player stuff from my bed on PS4 so I prefer comfort but if you're really into fps games, definitely go for a monitor.

If you knew that you want to play games up close to be competative why did you get a ps4,you could have built a very decent pc at the cost of PS4

Interesting, how can't you afford one computer, but you can afford a new TV for your PS 4, therefore that does not make any sense, a brand new monitor costs at least 100-2000, depending with what are you going with and if not used or used.

It really depends. Yeah, you can build a budget gaming PC, and that is great for older and simple games. However, PS4 titles are also heavily optimized for PS4 hardware and you will be able to play titles on the PS4 which can't be played on your budget gaming PC (well, they'll look like shit at any rate). There are also console exclusives which suck but not much you can do if you want to play them.

Look for 60hz refresh rate, then take your pick. Make sure the monitor has sound if you go that route.

There's also screen resolution, but I think the PS4 makes use of 60hz refresh rate with 1080p resolution. So if you want max graphics, aim for that. GL.

My dad paid for the tv and is going to pay for the monitor. And he won't pay for a new PC. Happy?

Buy a new monitor to enjoy your console in glorious 45 FPS and 900p quality. The better way to enjoy your games!
