Is Angel Beats actually worth watching?

I wouldn't say it's that bad anymore. It's good, but not masterpiece good. and it's not that sad either. At least it was far more interesting than Clannad.
I expected a lot more from Jun Maeda considering how high he set the bar with Little Busters. I would say it's somewhere between Charlotte (mediocre) and Little Busters (Fantastic).

To me Angel Beats's a masterpiece of anime. Well thats in my opinion!!

Clannad was udder garbage. I can't feel sad for the characters when they basically all have some tragic backstory, yet the mentality of five year old's. There's some major issues with it beyond that too.

What he said. I watched Clannad and it was just boring anime about dumplings and daily lives of schoolkids. I could barely finish the first one, decided to not go for After Story. At least it served the purpose of being meme material
