Here is a simple formula to calculate needed feed power for the next level.

Code:

1.08^(X-1) * 400 / Y

Where X is your current pet level and Y is your ability position (1st 2nd 3rd)

Note: in Y, if the ability is first insert: 20
if the ability is second insert:13
if the ability is the third insert:6

Example:
2nd ability, level 54

1.08^(54-1) * 400/13
59*30.7
About 1811 pet food needed.
Note that it's approximate, just circle the number to it's closest.

Logic behind the formula.
1.08 is our 8%. Normally 8% is 0.08 but since we need to raise it to a power it's now 1.08
Why 8%? Every level is last level + 8% of last level.
BUT if we used that logic we had to know pet food needed of every single last level to get to our target
Why 20/13/6? 20 fame is for lvl 1->2 in first ability, 13 fame is for lvl 1->2 in the second ability etc.
The other math is hard to explain so I'll leave it like that
