Subscription Email Notification

In continuation to a previous thread which is now closed, I am still receiving email notification from a thread I am not subscribed to.

Deleted your post in that thread, maybe that will help. However I checked your settings, and you should no longer be receiving emails about it. Can you take a screenshot of the error you see when you try to unsubscribe from that thread?

I received another email less than an hour ago.

The link to unsubscribe at the bottom of the email is:

Yeah I don't know why that problem persists.

When you go here: https://www.mpgh.net/forum/usercp.php do you see this button? If you do, when you click it, can you select the check next to the thread, then go to the bottom, click the drop down menu, and select Delete Subscription? If so, does it work?

I already tried the steps you suggested and did it again now, that thread is not on the list.

Does this help identify anything?: subscriptionid=4427244

I have now added the thread to my subscription list, can you please change the notification to none?

Just did, but unfortunately that setting does not work retroactively. I also deleted all your subscriptions myself from the Admin cp, and I know no other way to disable it for that thread specifically. Tomorrow (later on today as it is Midnight here), I will forward this thread to the site owner, and see if he can find out what is wrong, if my latest action did not help.

I have now started to receive notification from another thread I once posted to but definitely not subscribed to!

Again same error messages as before when I click on the above link, invalid forumid.

Not sure if I am the only user with this issue/bug?

All these emails are coming from dave8431[AT]mpgh.net

Is it possible to deactivate this account completely and I can re-create it afterwards?

I am still receiving these email notifications from two different threads. I tried blocking the sender but now the sender's email has slightly changed from dave8431@mpgh.net to dave84311@mpgh.net

Well the latter was always the one I've known. Don't know about the first one.

I deleted your email subscriptions. AFAIK we have a HUGE email backlog which may be related to the email issue. Your best bet would be to visit the thread and unsubscribe or turn off email subscriptions in UCP.

Thank you. I have already done what you suggested. Hopefully your actions will stop these annoying email notifications.

Update: After re-reading your comment about the email backlog, I checked the dates and times of the email notifications. The notifications are for posts from May 2016! Latest being 05-22-2016

This explains it and I guess I can expect a lot more of these emails?!
