The summary is interesting but I guess I will wait and see.
As the world is in the middle of an industrial revolution, a monster appears that cannot be defeated unless its heart, which is protected by a layer of iron, is pierced. By infecting humans with its bite, the monster can create aggressive and undead creatures known as Kabane. On the island Hinomoto, located in the far east, people have built stations to shelter themselves from these creatures. People access the station, as well as transport wares between them, with the help of a locomotive running on steam, called Hayajiro. Ikoma, a boy who lives in the Aragane station and helps to build Hayajiro, creates his own weapon called Tsuranukizutsu in order to defeat the creatures. One day, as he waits for an opportunity to use his weapon, he meets a girl named Mumei, who is excused from the mandatory Kabane inspection. During the night, Ikoma meets Mumei again as he sees Hayajiro going out of control. The staff on the locomotive has turned into the creatures. The station, now under attack by Kabane, is the opportunity Ikoma has been looking for.
Episode one isn't translated yet, but this is a reminder that Amazon Prime will be streaming it "exclusively" so HS will be behind schedule.
The summary is interesting but I guess I will wait and see.
So, first episode finally out.
Episode one
Not that impressed honestly. The MC already knew how to stop the virus so I'm assuming he had some past knowledge. They also had the stupid ass "it was so impactful we're going to show it in 3 different angles" cliche.
Overall, if this doesn't get interesting by episode three or four I'm dropping. I'll give it that the pace was good and the soundtrack made me nut, but that's about it so far.
Episode Two
/yawn
MC is immune to virus. Don't know what to think from here on out. The OP is fucking amazing though. I love egoist.
(only low quality right now)
That female is Mikasa 2.0.
O_O
I don't know why they chose this studio to do Kabenari. If anything, you should try to distance yourself from what is most identical to your series as much as possible.
I don't mind the premise(although it's stupid), but it seems like (to me) the better option would be to make this feudal or even pre-fuedal japan and have this be a supernatural onslaught anime instead.(like kekkaishi)
That way you open it up to both bigger badguys and bigger badass characters.
Instead of having another mikasa/levi that are just "born badasses", fighting the generic RE zombies.
If you watched the chink raw with anon subs last week, watch the HS rip. China has a ton of scenes left out because of their gore laws or something. Plus better translations.
