What are some opinions you have on pokemon go?

This game can dead lead you to a shady place just to catch a pokemon

i've been walking all around Long Beach and L.A. and i've been staying at friends' houses. i have 2 other friends that are going with me just to catch pokemon. the servers have been down pretty often so we decided to just go home after a while.

It's actually really fun. It's not got a lot of depth, but still I was able to kill a couple of hours wandering around downtown. I also saw quite a few players doing the same. I want it to succeed so companies become more interested in AR gaming.

It's got so much potential. Pokemon has always been about walking around finding Pokemon and now that we have smartphones we bring everywhere it could be great. Obviously there's going to be bugs at the start, but I think the bigger obstacle is privacy issues. If other trainers and friends you could trade with or battle appeared on your map, it could have much more content. I've been playing for two days and haven't even done any battling yet, which kind of makes me wonder other than holding gyms what the point of the game is? I mean realistically nobody with a life will complete the pokedex.

That's true, it's an accomplishment in itself for the devs to get so many people out and around playing it. I've seen a bunch of people that were almost surely doing the same thing as me, I just wish I could challenge them to battle or something other than awkwardly brushing past each other at the same pokestop 3 times in a row.

just checked if driving around works. i tried driving around with the app on, and it doesn't count it as walking, so i can't hatch my egg. so i guess it's back to walking for me.
