You could try downloading tor first, and using duckduckgo as your primary search engine.

Also, if you have access to the .onion sites, be sure not to spend any bitcoins on them, for me it's 99% scam sites trying to rip people off.

personally been there done that, even their wiki leaks have scam sites.
