Hi, quick(ish) question. I know you can't get banned if you're not a complete idiot with stats editing (i.e. making sure kills/deaths/time etc are plausible), but I'd like to know if you can get banned (or flagged as suspicious) if the Steam in-game time visible on your profile is lower than your actual played time.

I've only got about 30 hours of game time on Steam and about 12 hours of time in matches according to my stats, so editing this to 20-25 days of playtime with a couple hundred thousand kills on the same 30 hours of Steam in-game time seems like begging for a ban.

From what I know of the system they probably don't even check this because of how infrequently it updates, but then again my knowledge is pretty limited.

Steam uses the time on your steam page in order to coordinate it with your rank.
According to FourZeroTwo, VAC isn't taking extreme measures to combat rank hacks, but they will compare STEAM TIME to certain levels and prestieges to ensure its legit.
Basically, there are magical numbers they set that your time has to match up to in order to have that rank.

You will be flagged as suspicious and have a possible VAC delayed ban if you abuse this.

What I did:
Went to Level 70, Prestiege 1.
Prestieged, and played till 10-20
Rank Hack to 30.
Play to 40.
Rank Hack to 45.
Play to 50.
Rank Hack to 55.
Play to 60
Rank Hack to 65.

With this, it begins to match up.

Another option (a better one) is to simply leave your game on overnight!
Then, just add levels according to the time your game was on.

Again - I have no idea where the precision of the rank hack control is, but I know its there.

I've gotten banned once before and bought another copy of MW2, and I don't want that to happen again, so I'm sticking to Ranks, Class hacks, and skins.

I might begin using some ESPs or something if the new concept works out (Attaching the .dll to Xfire or other programs instead of MW2).

It seems pretty smart, and VAC is too dumb to detect that.

I have a free Catalyst ESP Ive had it for 3 months now and still no bann... I barely use it though it takes the fun out the game... I cant stand wall hacking or aimbotting it makes me wanna return the game i really dont know how so many noobs out there go crazy for walls and aimbots they most really really really suck ass at gaming... seriously.

Nice point.
I do this most of the time, But I still like to test new releases, This is fun, But be careful with old Aimbots/ESP's if you don't got any way to disable VACShit.
