Looks fine to me, i'm sure stuff could be reduced to lower that price down. I know i would.
So I found this rig on /r/buildapc, and I wanted to know if there was anything I should change/remove/add. Saving money is nice (though I obv won't truly pay for it all), but spending a little more is fine. Main things I will be playing: Fallout 4, GTAV, Overwatch, Mafia III and other new releases. I'm confident I'll make these games go crying back to their developers with this rig. I've already changed some things myself. (Everything at 4k, I will also be doing VR some time, but idk when exactly).

Why the two different memory prices? A little confused there.
Psu pretty shit. Get a stronger one. I'm no psu expert, nor an electrician or w/e but if you're at full load with that when it switches, pretty sure it won't be a happy day.
So you'd prefer to spend 1500 not 5k? If so go for 6700k if this is a gaming rig, it'll be more than enough, and may even preform better in certain circumstances. So you'll save quite a bit of money.
Ek water cooling, nice, should definitely show some pictures

Ended up changing the memory w/o changing the price I suppose. Oops. As for the psu, this computer has already been built and used on /r/buildapc, so it works fine, but I'll definitely take all your advice into consideration. Also, when I say I would like to spend 1.5k I mean I will be using SE and refund services available here and on my own. If you truly think I should go for the 6700k, would you care to explain the reasoning, other than for saving money since it should be good enough? I don't entirely understand what you mean when you say it could perform better in certain circumstances, either. Could you explain? Thanks for the advice.

You're crazy. I'm sitting here with just a Q6600, 6GB DDR2, a 2TB WD Black and a GT 730 from Zotac

I get that a lot lol. I feel you though, man. My current rig is AMD A10-7800 Radeon R7, 750gb HD... with an unnecessary 16gb of RAM since I was an idiot when I made it. But my summer job has given some extra money, along with making money here on MPGH, so I decided I'd treat myself with something special.
Sorry, shitty AUTOCORRECT. Lol, I complain so much about it, it capitalizes it now XD
I meant your back up power supply. The actual psu you have is good.
The 6700k should preform better in terms of gaming and the like. Most games aren't optimised for many cores, and will do better with just higher speeds on a single core. Unless you want to run vms, or do a lot of rendering/ processing there is not much need for more cores over higher speeds.

Aye, well, do you have any recommendations? I've been browsing for a bit but most things have reviews saying something off-putting. Not hugely knowledgeable when it comes to these. This one looks promising.https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?it...82E16842102121
And I understand what you're saying with the CPU, I'll go ahead and move down to the 6700k.
Also EDIT to your earlier post, I'll be sure to make a thread loaded with pictures once this baby comes to fruition!

Ah, I didn't think is was that because the reason he said it was "pretty shit" was because it's less than half the wattage of my main, and figured my computer would be having a rough life if it ever needed to switch from full power to it. Not that it was standalone a price of shit.
