How exactly does the rep system work? Just got a message saying someone +rep'd me. The user has 36 rep. Upon checking i apparently have several other posts where i got +rep as well. It states "Latest Reputation Received (10 point(s) total)". But my rep is always at 10. I googled it for a bit and haven't really found out how it works. Thanks guys.

Reputation power depends on the number of posts and reputation you have.
The more posts and the more reputation you have, the higher the reputation power you get.
The reason why your reputation points remain at 10 is because the people who rep you may have 0 reputation power.

Even though the person who just repd me had a reputation of 36? how do you check your reputation power? Thanks.

However, a person with 36 reputations may have 0 reputation power. If he doesn't have enough posts, but he have a lot of reputations, he won't get more rep power (it won't increase).
