PATCH NOTES, CLOSED BETA BUILD

The closed beta servers will go live at 10 a.m. PDT on August 18, 2016.



Updates and changes included in this build:

MODES

• Reintroduced Hide & Seek, a classic PvP mode in which competing teams take turns disguising themselves as props on some of AVA's most popular maps while the other team hunts them.

GEAR

• Added new Euro-metered weapons (i.e., weapons that consume Euros as you use them), including the Kriss Super V submachine gun, the K-2 assault rifle, and the M40A5 sniper rifle.
• Added 16 Armors Package: a bundle of Euro-metered gear that provides optimal stats, but consumes Euros for every minute of use. This armor package is available for purchase with Euros.

UI/UX
Optimized client with various improvements, including reduced lag and frame drop, shorter client startup time, and optimized projectile logic.

• Added new locker system, which allows players to stow items that they don't commonly use (freeing up space in their inventory).
• Added “Favorite Weapon” feature, allowing players to "favorite" their most commonly used weapons for quick retrieval from inventory.
• Added option to adjust some game settings while in a match (from the ESC menu).
• Removed ability to gain EXP from a match if the match is shut down in under three minutes. (This change is intended to prevent EXP farming.)
• AI silhouettes are no longer exposed when hidden behind cover. Additionally, shot effects have been changed to a yellow color.
• Adjusted volume on some sound effects.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Added Quick Match Map Voting, allowing players to vote to exclude maps from the random queue.
• Changed damage absorption rate stat for 09 and 14 Armor.
• Updated various features of Championship spectator mode, including an observer list with the ability to kick, add a friend, whisper, etc.
• Made improvements to the HUD in Tournament spectator mode.
• Revised the supply gauge to charge based on any time spent logged into the game.
• Added sound to Quickmatch channel.
• Removed Showdown and Shark maps to address some unresolved bugs.
• Adjusted daily quest levels and rewards.
• Added various other quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes.

For the purposes of the closed beta test, all new characters will start with the following currency and items:

The rate at which EXP and Euros during the closed beta is also increased:

• Quick Match Channel: EXP 100%, Euro 200%
• Beginning's Channel: EXP 200%, Euro 100%
• UAVA Championship Channel: EXP 50%, Euro 150%

All participants in the closed beta will also unlock an En Masse-branded grenade upon official launch of the game."
