Part time job question

So I got a new job and it's cool and everything but when I applied I asked for PART TIME HOURS but somehow that means 38 hours -_-

I cannot fit that shit in my schedule, do you think the boss will fire me or no? I have 2 jobs and college so I cannot juggle a anothor job that wants me to work full time. So can they use this against me to fire me? Because I am still in my 3 months.

I will probably talk to my manager and have a talk with him about it and if he doesn't do anything I will talk to his manager.

Yup, talk to your boss or whoever's the highest up at your job. Tell them about your situation and they will understand probably.

idk how it works in your region, but in Australia, colleges only allow 20 hours of work in a week, and restaurants/workplaces are required by law to fulfill this criteria.

with a 20 AUD per hour rate. 1 week = 400 AUD, which is pretty high pay. that's the minimum.

Well I make about 2.5k every month so I call that pretty good but I rather make less and work less hours. So what I will do is have a talk with my manager tomorrow (absent today) and ask him to give me less hours since I asked for part time job. If he has a problem with it then fuck him, I will talk to his boss and if he has a problem with it I will talk to his fucking poss. The only thing I am afraid off is getting fired, since they can fire me anytime in 3 months. /

Well I made sure to click part time and that really should be no more then 30 hours max. They shouldn't bullshit with me like that.

Talk to your manager. Or the one that makes the schedule.. They will be very understanding and help you

I also have a part time job. It should not mean 38 hours at all. I don't even have a set amount of hours, every week i say when I'm available. You must never let a job get in the way of your education.

It can be a part-time job if the job is considered temporary. I have part-time jobs in the summer where I work 40 hours. But that shouldn't be part-time if they weren't planning to hire you temporary. Try talking to your boss?
