who the fuck didn't see this coming ?
Call me stupid, I see it's a ponzi scheme but wikipedia does a shit job at explaining it simply (duh.)
He would say he could get your money back, by taking the money from other people when they invested? Is this the right interpretation?

Have seen this on other Forums with the same method. Get people to pay you; you cash the others out with that money until you´ve made a certain amount of money of it and the seller is gone. This ´ponzi/scheme´ happens on a lot of cloud mining websites as well.

He's probably not doing well with his gambling strategies, needed another way to make money.
Honestly this could turn out to be a great service, and he can actually make money out of this.
Seeing it going this way, he's probably doing this to fund something.
at least $5,000 if not more of people's money in his hands rn
Not sure if you were asking what a ponzi scheme is but let's see if my explanation can help you understand how it works:
I'm a seller. I tell people to invest into me and I'll get them their money back and then some. How do I do it? Well let's say the first 3 people all invest $100. The next 3 people all invest $200. That's a total of ($300) + ($600). I pay back the first three investors with the money the next three paid me and pocket the rest. Rinse and repeat.
Eventually, Ponzi schemes collapse on themselves as there's not enough money to pay back the investors and this is typically where the seller actually hits their peak.
