Charged 40k For A Armed Robbery w/ 1 year time

This all started about 6-7 months ago when I was going to A car meat up with me and my friend. Anyway when we got there there wasn't anybody there so we waited 30 minutes as we thought where early. So half a hour goes by and we decided to leave and while driving home we witnessed a armed robbery and it just happaned that the robbers had the same car as me and my friend. And at this point we where scared for our lives so we called the police and drove off as fast as we could. and about 8 minutes go past and we see a police car behind us and a hellicoptor in the sky folowing us. They hadn't put there lights on yet. and we where stressing because we just noticed we had the same car as the robbers. about another 30-40 seconds went by that felt like hours and the police turnned there lights/cirens on and we pulled over and the police had us a gun point. And we coperated because we didn't want to get shot. I'm typing this 6-7 months from when this event happened and I'm due to go back to court in another week. My lawer said I could face upto 1 year in jail and a 40 thousand dollar find if guilty. so wish me luck...
