    Possible PC upgrade.

So, I've re-built this stock Acer Predator that I had with some parts I managed to get here and there. (Mainly more RAM and the graphics card which was an upgrade from my last one).

I'm now looking to upgrade to a more recent GPU and if needed a CPU but I'm on a budget.

Looking for good CPU and GPU (And possibly other upgrades) suggestions !

    Specs:

Wait for the new AMD Cpus to come out. They're going to absolutely dominate the market come OCT/NOV.

As for the GPU, I'd suggest a 1080. If not then go for a R9 380 or something cheap but way better than the 960.

Edit: I take that back, actually grab a RX 480 if you got the money. It puts the 1080 to shame costs over 75% less.

I'm in no way shape or form a computer specialist, is it possible to get an RX480 in the build I have right now or will this processor intervene with an AMD graphics card.

Would you mind telling us your budget? Also I'm pretty sure that CPU would handle a RX 480. The card was kind of meant for budget gaming unlike the gtx 1080.

The budget is upmost 300$. The best performance-for-value I've seen for that price is the RX480

Dont listen to the people above, they have no fucking idea what they are talking about (comparing a 1080 to a fucking rx 480, a $250 gpu to a $600 gpu that is 80% better than the 480) ), I would get the 1060, much better than the 480 for around the same price. Also, no need to change CPU, it wont bottleneck with any graphics card that you get

Didn't even consider the 1060, I just assumed a rx480 was the best option, I'm probably going for a 1060 then, I prefer Nvidia over AMD after all anyways.

    Appreciate the help

What kind of games do you play? Because in the newer games the extra threads in the i7 are actually being utilized now.
