{HELP}With Texture editing

ok so i looked at the Sticky tutorials on how to mod textures but i still have not found what i have been looking for..i am trying to insert an image to a weapon but all i can find is tut on coloring textures...If u can help me this would be awsome and if u find a website or video explaining it plz pm me it i really wanna learn this because my Mods are basically a fail since textures i dont edit...

.. Use photoshop... Open up the file you extracted, then open up the image, drag it onto the picture... Voila!

its that easy? thought u had to change opacity or watever if u do wat percent does it have to b?

The textures never work when you switch weapon clases for some reason
for example m16 to mp5
but i can get the texture to work for m29fss berreta to usp tacty

i actually dont need this thread as i am working on a l9 texture right now! i put my pic in there so it works im changing it up tho making it look better
