learn c++, don't listen to these nubs, c++ isn't hard and you shouldn't learn the easiest language 'cause you really end up not doing anything..
also, use visual studio 2015 with c++ 11 and use new 2015 tuts for c++ cos it has a lot of good stuff compared to old codeblocks or devcpp compiler.

IMO C++ or Java is great for a beginner and I suggest going on sites like leetcode to try out their problems and work on your logic. Once you learn a bit, you should code tic tac toe, its a very logic-heavy program.

I would suggest VB because it has simple syntax and automatic garbage collection.
What do you mean cpp is bad for complete beginners?
I consider myself a beginner because all I knew was Batch, a bit of Bash, HTML/CSS, and I learned C++ pretty easily

no background in computer science or programming languages is a beginner.

Obviously me saying that is subjective.

In my opinion, you should start with C++ or Visual Basic
