[Requesting] GFX Artist for an MMO.

Good in graphics? love pixel art? Join the Memoria development team. We are looking for talented artists to join our dedicated team, your job will be to do:

* GUI Designing
* Tiles (terrain, water etc)
* NPC (monsters, guards etc)
* Items (potions, weapons, armors, gold etc)
* Auto Updater GUI
* Website/Forum designing (as of when needed as we have a design in progress)
* Other requests..

Memoria Online is a medievil game that has been around for about 7years, it's an old style MMO but was put down nearly 2years ago as I went traveling and didn't have anyone I could trust that much with my baby. At that time I had a big community with around 200+ players online all the time.

At the moment we have just re-launched the website without any public release, the people that have actually registered are only people that have found us or kept checking up on us over the time we have been down.

This was just copied and pasted off my website but this is the kind of thing I am looking for if anyone is interested in joining a new development team?

You will be working along the side of the coders to ensure that they have the right stuff for our GUI etc.

The gfx section is extremely sheltered. (by sheltered I mean we never branch far from sigs / lps)

No it's not a 3D game. It's an old retro 2D MMO.



Obviously for your work you will be in the contact section & credits, at the moment I cannot pay nothing, but, once the shop system is functional and we release then I don't mind spending. At the moment this will be for your resume & advertisement for your future projects.

EDIT: Our programmer is actually doing this as a free project but will also take some profit after we have released. He has never worked on an MMO like this from scratch but he is excited after seeing our plans & what we have to offer him at the end.

For the moment the main things that are required are website design/forums, client GUI, server GUI, auto updater GUI. The tiles, terrain, weps, armors and everything can wait as we have thousends already from our previous version.

*Tiles are really easy too. it's just a like 5x5 or larger square that can connect to other squares like it
*Well actually npc's on a 2d game like that is really easy
*items are another easy design feature
*not sure about auto updater
*Website/forum design is a simple html and php

To be honest though, nobody wants to do this without getting paid. Concidering it's a very small game that will take time and effort that doesn't really pay off (non-money wise)

Right first off, none of the work above should be even remotely hard for a skilled GFX artist, it's just simple GUI & pixel work? If this is just for sigs then i'll get the thread moved. The only thing that will take alot of time and effort is the terrain/weps/armors/items as there small individuale parts, but I did say at the moment we are really looking for the GUI/Web stuff which should not take more longer then a day?

Secondly I have stated that this is a free project and CAN be paid but not until the game is released, if you don't want to do it then don't, but don't flame it here and troll this thread. You are trying to tell me that nobody will do it unless they are paid? Then why have I already had 4 people apply for the position so they can have it down on the resume. People are so young and nieve.

I have been with MPGH since before there was even a forum so don't give me the fucking bullshit mate.

I have been with this community since the start of our first MPGH server on MoS. Once upon a time before I grew out of all this I woulda banned your cocksucker ass when there was only 3 of us MODS on this forum.

So please, stop trolling. This was meant to be a request for talented people that wanted to show something off and get credits for a good online game & something to post on there resume, if you don't want to do it then don't bother posting. End of.
