    Question Life in LA

If anyone here lives in LA, leave some insight.

I'm thinking about going to study in LA. But from what I've heard, it's extremely expensive apparently, which is understandable considering what kind of place LA is.

Also, any Americans that can tell me more about the kind of financial aid you guys receive in the states, that'd be cool as well.

One good program for financial aid is FAFSA: https://fafsa.ed.gov/

Yeah I've already looked into it; but I was looking for more specific info that I couldn't find on the site like for example if you have to have a US citizenship or a Canadian one is good enough for U.S. aid.

I go to LA every once in a while for vacation, have a fam there. I love the place but its expensive so I wouldn't bother living there. For vacation - yes, for a long term - no, unless you have the $$$

It's expensive, lots of homeless people, and lots of lines to the popular places. It can get tedious but if you like the city it's definitely a great place.

I love living in the city, loud and bright places, etc etc. It just feels more open in my opinion. But seems like everyone's saying it's very expensive.

But to be honest I'd rather be broke there than be rich in the dead city I live in

This point is also very big and important. Healthcare in Canada is so much more convenient. But then again I don't have any illnesses or diseases, just your average cold here and there.
