So lets say your gf or wife has sexy and fit when you got together with her (you are also fit) but as the years go by she lets go of the fitness routine while you continue. You try to encourage a fit diet but she doesn't want to do it. Is it acceptable to leave her because of that? I think it is because you can't go and change you are just because you are comfortable in the relationship.

I mean the person who didn't change might not be fine with your weight gain. I mean I know people always say that they will accept their loved ones no matter what but if you were fit when i got with you and i was fit and I am doing everything i can to stay fit and you are not willing to put in the effort to do them same then i am leaving.

:O just remember , don't do that shit if she got fat because of having your children one day. From personal experience, the children will honestly really hate you. And began to not trust relationship in the future as it's just based on look. At the end of the day, looks are just the outer appearance and when you get old or hit menopause, looks are just looks as humans all die one day filled with wrinkles and etcs

I personally think it's wrong to leave her. You can't just leave the love of your life just because of her weight?

If it's GF then sure do it, if it's wife then I definitely think you should try harder to motivate her because doing a divorce for that is kinda sketch. Regardless remind her of how it feels good to not be overweight and try to do some psychology on her by saying you want what's best for her.

It is OK indeed. I mean it isn't a nice thing to do, but hell, if you're not confortable with the relation anymore, doesn't matter the reason, it's within your rights to end it.

And if you're feeling so bad about it, that means you mostly liked her for that, and not for who she was (well, that's the obvious deduction, I could be wrong), so that relation is doomed anyways.
