How to use Xfire in MW2

Because XFire doesn't support some games.

However, toobanooba just reminded me of something; XFire already works with MW2. I just tested it 2 days ago.

i know thats why i said this it detects it

It probably didn't work for some people, if it were as easy as just adding it, there wouldn't be guides like this.

look at xfire's patch updates it has the list of ALL PC games supported by xfire's overlay etc.

But it is that easy It detected MW2 and it showed up ingame. Period.

Hey guys I followed the guide but when I click browse to find the game it only lets me go up to \Steam\steamapps\common\zero gear\Server. Its not letting me choose the actual Modern warfare icon. Any idea why?

I think you have that because you've got the Zero Gear crack :S

I attached the patch files for 1.0.184.
Put them in {STEAMINSTALLATIONDIRECTORY}\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\zone\english

Most likely your Installation Directory = C:\Program Files\Steam or if you have x64 bit windows it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

Then go from \steamapps

see im still going through the zero gear directory, maybe thats the problem?
